Julia Madge Prentice (Street), 77, passed away peacefully after a very brief and courageous battle with cancer on July 26th, 2017 in Rosetown SK.  Julie was born on May 27th, 1940 in Burin Newfoundland. Julie wore many hats in her years on this earth including serving in the Royal Canadian Air Force as a fitness instructor, Grade 11 School teacher, Nurses Aid, store Manager, Bakery Manager and more.   Julie moved to Saskatchewan in the early 70’s and remained there for the rest of her life. Her greatest achievements were her 6 children Greg (Barb), Kim, Laurie, Bill (Marva), Ron (Colette) and Dean (Jen). Next to her children, were the people she worked with for over 15 years at Lions Manor and McNab Park.  The residents here became her closest friends and family. Of course, we could not forget Julie’s love for her beloved Dogs and Cats, who were her closest companions. Julie is also remembered for her amazing musical talents on her piano and guitar.  She was always in the spotlight, lighting up someone’s day with song and dance. She will be missed by many of her friends and family, both near and far.   At Julie’s request, there will be no funeral, however, the family had a wonderful day visiting with the residents at McNab Park on July 28th, 2017 with Julie’s granddaughter Rachel, playing some songs on the piano   In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Rosetown and District Health Foundation.
