Meridel Hope Magnuson, 73, of Saskatoon, SK, passed away peacefully November 29, 2017 after a brief illness.  A celebration of Meridel’s life for immediate family and close friends is still to be scheduled. Meridel was born on October 13th, 1944 in Wadena, SK. After living in Wadena until 1957, she moved with her parents and younger brother to Saskatoon. She attended Aden Bowman and later the U of S. She married shortly after high school and later raised her three children on her own.  Meridel spent many years teaching piano lessons and enjoyed music,  especially blues, with close friends, in venues around Saskatoon. Her greatest joy were her children, and later in life, her six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Joe and Birdie, and her brothers, Keith and Dale. Meridel is survived and dearly missed by her three children and their spouses, Mark Magnuson and Dawn Drotar, Laurel and Dave Clark, and Quinn and Kirsten Magnuson, and by her six grandchildren, Matthew and Sarah Magnuson, Danielle and Alex Clark, and Annika and Leif Magnuson. Meridel is also survived and missed by her brother Wayne and many other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Saskatoon Interval House.
