Ramona (Enns) Carnell of Saskatoon, SK passed away peacefully at the age of 83 on Monday, March 19, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. “First, you get born. Last, you die. The middle is called living.” Mona lived that motto everyday of her life, embracing all that life has to give, and giving of herself in return. Mona was born on May 13, 1934 in Saskatoon and grew up here, where she met and married the love of her life, Bill Carnell. They raised three children, who gave them eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Mona loved her family deeply and was extremely proud of each and every one of them. Mona had many hobbies, a large circle of friends, and a tremendous amount of faith in God. She was very active in her church until her failing health prevented it. Mona was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob Enns and Anna (Penner) Enns. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, William (Bill) Carnell; her son Bill Carnell, daughter-in-law Barbara Bodnarchuk and their children Chris (Kate) Carnell, Kim (Rob) Hoobonoff and Brenna (Kevin) Marinier; her daughter Tammy (Ron) Birns and their children Erin (Steve) Kornaga, Jamie Birns, and Mike (Gayna) Birns; her daughter Pamela (Barry) Barker and their children Chad (Shae) Barker and Katlin (Hillary) Barker; her great-grandchildren Jason, Mary, Jonah, Piper, Sierra, Declan, Liam, Brielle, Adalyn, Lilika, Lincoln, Bentlee, Royce, Logan and Haylee; her brother David Enns; and her sister-in-law Audrey Sabiston. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Hampton Free Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Dennis Camplin.
