The Kinzie family is saddened to announce the passing of Don Kinzie on Thursday, March 29,2018 at St. Paul’s Hospital. He left this world peacefully at the age of 92. With Hazel, his wife of 60 years, at his side. Don was predeceased by his parents, Merril and Regina; his brother Pat; sister Evelyn; his daughter Gail and infant daughter Mary. He is survived by his brothers, Derry and Brian (Maureen); sister Merlyn; his sons, Francis (Ellen), Kevin, and Nolan; daughters, Arlene (Kinzie) and Bonnie (Brad); grandchildren, Jason (Corianne), Marty (Darcy), Jamie (Blaine), Christian, Jackson, James, Brooklyn, Madisen, and Kenna; great grandchildren, Kohlby, Brandt, Jayden, and Claire. Don was born in Saskatoon and lived all his life at Pike Lake where he started farming at the age of 18. He worked winters logging in B.C. and cutting pulp in Ontario. Don was always young at heart enjoying ski-dooing, quadding, hunting, and fishing. One of his favorite things to do was getting together with friends for a good card game. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, served on municipal council, and was one of the founding members of the Pike Lake Community Center. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., from St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 211 Avenue O South in Saskatoon.
