Grant Roy McCann 53 of Saskatoon Sk. passed away April 11, 2018 at St Paul’s Hospital Saskatoon after a courageous battle with cancer. Grant grew up on the family farm at Viceroy and attended school at Viceroy and Assiniboia. Grant worked in a lumberyard for his brother and on the family farm. He moved on to work as a rodman at Harris Rebar in Regina, Toronto and Vancouver. He came back to Viceroy and worked at Ormiston mining and steel.  Grant passed his 1 A license and started long haul semi driving, learning fast driving through B.C. mountains in the winter and then did gravel hauling. His last job was in Saskatoon with 4D transport, driving super B’s where he worked with a great group and this is where he found his second family.  He drove over 2 million miles in his driving career and never had a crash. He was so proud of his achievement. Grant is survived by; his mother, Elene McCann of Moose Jaw; his big brother, Edward(Sharon)McCann of Saskatoon; sister Linda (Terry) Ray of Crane Valley; and his little brother, Ian ( Tanya) McCann of Viceroy; along with uncles, aunts many niece’s nephews, cousins and special friends Connie Gillespie and Dwayne Desrosiers. He is predeceased by his father Roy Edward McCann (1990) and niece Brandee  Sherry McCann. (1977) In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society
