On August 22, surrounded by the love of his family and friends, Donald (Gary) Garfield Waugh passed away peacefully at home at the age of 71 years. Gary is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sherry (Maynard), daughter Robin (Shawn) Schmidt and son Tim (Krisinda) Waugh, brother Dave Waugh, brother Kevin (Ann) Waugh. Also left to cherish his memory are his six grandchildren; Erica (Corey), Michael (Tamara), Johanna (fiancé Michael), Rhett, Davis, Elayna and by his two great-grandsons; Malachi and Emery. Gary was predeceased by his father George, mother Minerva, and brother Ron. Gary was born and lived most of his life in Saskatoon. He enjoyed helping people and stayed active in his community as an accountant, minor hockey coach, executive director SMHA, pastor and IGR auditor. Gary enjoyed fishing, hunting, canasta card games and garage sales. He was a deeply loved man who will be fondly remembered for his father heart and good sense of humour. There will be a Celebration of Gary's Life at Elim Tabernacle Church, 419 Slimmon Road, Saskatoon at 2 p.m. on August 26, 2016. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Bridge on 20th or St. Paul's Hospital Foundation designated to 'Freestanding Hospice'.
