Gordon is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Irene Gerbrandt; children Bryan Gerbrandt, Tracy Bell, Sharon May Gerbrandt, Lorraine Revet, Cindy Schafer, Troy Schafer; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter; sister Alvina Pankratz; brothers Gilbert Gerbrandt, Donald Gerbrandt, Herb Gerbrandt and Elmer Gerbrandt. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Marie Gerbrandt; sisters Helen Gerbrandt and Olive Dyck; and brothers Walter Gerbrandt, Harold Gerbrandt, and Harvey Gerbrandt. Donations may be sent to St. Paul’s Palliative Care, 1702-20th Street West, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan S7M 0Z9 Gordon Wesley Gerbrandt was born in Steinbach, Manitoba on October 24, 1938. He was born to Marie and Peter Gerbrandt. Gordon was one of eleven children. Gordon grew up in Manitoba and moved to Gouldtown, Saskatchewan when he was in his teens to work on the Drieger farms. He moved back to Manitoba in his 20’s where he married Katherina Enns. They had four children together. After they parted ways in 1981, Gordon moved to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan where he married Sharon Irene Schafer on May 19, 1984. Throughout his years, Gordon worked as a road grader in Steinbach, MB; hauled feed for Kehler’s in Niverville, MB. He worked for 32 years at Reimer Express Lines as a long distance owner operator. He hauled loads for RSB and hauled gravel for a few years at the end of his career. In his spare time, Gordon enjoyed fishing and camping at Besnard Lake and at Kamkota Lodge in Northern Saskatchewan. He also ran a stage coach business called Family Affair, where he gave wagon rides with his horses, Dan and Molly. When he bid you farewell, Gordon would often say, “Catch you later!” He will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew him. Good bye Gordon! Catch you later!
