Jamie passed away peacefully on Friday, September 16th, 2016 at St. Pauls Hospital in Saskatoon, SK. Jamie was born in Regina, SK to Alain (deceased) & Gail (Rose-Marie) Jezegou (Meyer) and was an inspirational older sister to Karen (Blain) and Allan. She attended elementary school & high school in Regina, and made many lasting friendships. Her favorite leisure activity was skiing, whether it be downhill or on the water. Upon graduating, Jamie began her 37 year career with SGI. Jamie held many progressive roles over those years. It was her ‘can do’ positive attitude together with her exceptional work ethic and strong interpersonal/relationship building skills that will long be remembered by the many co-workers and friends at SGI. After a few years, she transferred to the Saskatoon location. On July 20th, 1991, Jamie married Neil DeGirolamo and had two remarkable sons, Colton (Brittany) and Landon. Jamie was welcomed into the DeGirolamo family by his mother Maria (Gauthier) (husband Ernest DeGirolamo – deceased) and his brothers and sisters Marc (Jan), Marcia (Wayne), Lynn (Randy), Danny (Marie Mykytyshyn), and Dale. Numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family will dearly miss her. Jamie, Neil, their family and friends thoroughly enjoyed many weekends and vacations on their recreational property where they enjoyed various activities such as quading, tree-planting, eating tin foil dinners, and evening campfires. Jamie enjoyed time in the kitchen cooking for family and time in her beautiful garden. Jamie was an exceptionally kind person who extended herself to others who were drawn into her warm and caring presence. She took great care to make and maintain a wealth of relationships with relatives, friends, co-workers, and neighbors. Her family would like to give a special thank you to doctors, nurses, and staff at the Saskatoon Cancer Centre and St. Pauls Hospital Palliative Care Unit. A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, September 22nd at St. Phillip Neri Parish (1902 Munroe Avenue South, Saskatoon), with interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jamie’s name to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
