It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss that we announce the passing of our son, brother, cousin, nephew and friend, Dylan Phillips. Dylan will always be remembered by his parents, Dale and Jan Phillips; his sister, Kendra Phillips, her fiancé, Matthew Elliott; his brother, Hazen Phillips, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Dylan was born and raised in Saskatoon and from a young age was active in many sports from hockey to snowboarding. His true passion was mountain biking and from a very early age, Dylan spent countless hours on a bike or working on his bikes. Dylan graduated in 2010 from Bishop James Mahoney high school; prior to and after graduation, Dylan was employed in the fencing industry and he excelled at this. Dylan had a huge heart and cared about those around him deeply. He had a love and passion for animals that resulted in many pets over the years, most notably his beloved dog, Rocko. Dylan loved to laugh and his laughter was contagious. He was extremely witty and could never stop himself from making a joke, whether appropriate or not. While Dylan was a comedian, he was also always there for his family and close friends in any way he could offer; a guardian and protector of those close to him. His family and friends will never forget the smile that would light up Dylan’s face and the sound of his laughter. Dylan will forever live on in the cherished memories of those around him. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the SPCA.
