Ernest Alexander Joseph Boucher passed away peacefully on January 10th, 2017 at Saskatoon City Hospital. Ernest was born July 25, 1937 in Regina to parents Margaret (Bennett) Boucher and Ernest Marcel Boucher. He was raised on a farm in the RM of McCraney and attended school in Davidson. As a young man, Ernest worked at the South Saskatchewan River Project followed by operating the Esso Service Station in Elbow. He returned to the family farm where he spent many years growing crops and raising cattle. After leaving the farm, he was employed at Combine World and Lost River Bison. He was an avid Blue Jays fan but a bigger fan of his grandchildren taking a keen interest their pursuits. Left to cherish their memories: son Darwyn Boucher of Regina and grandchildren Lyndon (Chelsey) and Mitchell of Bethune; daughter Stacey (David) Virgin of Regina and grandchildren Giles and Cassandra of Regina; daughter Stephanie Stokes of Okotoks and grandchildren Elsa and Tucker of Okotoks. He also leaves to mourn, his life long friends Wayne and Hazel Ostrander, as well as many other dear friends. He was predeceased by his parents Ernest and Margaret Boucher; daughter-in law Elizabeth (Betty Jane) Boucher. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nursing and therapy staff at RUH and City hospital for exceptional and compassionate care. As per Dad’s request there will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to STARS air ambulance.
