Mom,
How can we say goodbye. You have been the center of our lives for so long and you have always been there for us.
You were from a small town and a large family and left for the city when you were very young. You were vibrant and beautiful and caught dad’s eye. He pursued you passionately and you were together for the next 50 years.
You had a kind soul and a huge heart, quick wit, and an infectious sense of humour. You always made anyone who stopped by feel welcome and at home.
You had three rowdy boys that you raised well and were always there for us. You kept the peace in our family and wherever you were, it always felt like home.
You loved your family and all your grandkids, spending as much time as you could with them. When you weren’t with them, they were always in your heart and on your mind.
We are sad that you are gone, and your loss leaves a huge void in our lives. We are glad you are at peace, free from suffering and with dad smiling down at us.
Love you always.
Few people leave you with a sense of welcoming as did Doreen. Sweet, kind and humorous… no matter her situation. A gem… a doll; someone I know I aspire to be more like. I did not have the opportunity to know her long, but I will miss her, and always remember how she made me feel… she had a gift. My sincerest condolences.
Doreen was a lovely soul who will be sorrowly missed!
So very sorry for your loss. You’re in my thoughts and prayers.
Nelson,Scott,Tyler and families; I am so sorry to hear of Doreen’s passing even though I know she is in a better place.I’m so sad to lose my friend of 50 plus years. We didn’t get to see each other that often but spent countless hours on the phone sharing our good times, our bad times and things you can only share with a special friend! Until we meet again…….
