It is with broken hearts and great sadness that the family of Glen F. Ewert announce his sudden passing on Monday August 17, 2020 at the age of 63 years. Glen will be lovingly remembered by the great loves of his life: Diane, his wife of 35 years along with his children Marcus (Melinde), Michelle (Chris) and Morgan (Ryan). Glen also leaves his mom, Annette and his siblings Lee, Barry (Katherine), Diana (Murray), and Camille. Glen will also be fondly remembered by his 3 grandchildren Coty, Fiona and Maegan. He was predeceased by his father, R.Glen Ewert.
Glen was a self-taught man who loved learning about history and computers. As his MS progressed he discovered a passion for taking pictures of the universe with telescopes located around the world. Along with an enduring love of music and the Riders, some of Glen’s best stories came from his days spent on the Farm and the time shared with his family and friends.
He really enjoyed working for the Mitchell family at Intercontinental Packers which later became Maple Leaf Foods. Mostly he enjoyed the lasting friendships he developed while working there.
Glen was a great husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle, as well as was a good and loyal friend to many. He will be truly missed by all.
The family would like to extend their profound gratitude to all the emergency responders, nurses, doctors, and support staff at the Royal University Hospital.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions the celebration of his life will be a private ceremony but will be live-streamed for all to watch at https: distantlink.com/CherishedMemories.html on Monday, August 24, 2020 at 1 pm. Glen’s ashes will be spread up at Quanta Farm near Loon Lake at a later date.

I’m so sorry to hear about Glen’s passing. I’ll always fondly remember my friendship with him, and his entire family when I lived in Saskatoon during the late 70’s up until 1987 when I moved to Regina. I got a job stuccoing houses with the family unit, and we hit it off from there on in. So much fun listening to music and playing cards at his house with Diane & other friends. Time to rest easy now my friend. My sincere condolences to all the family.
Our sincerest condolences on your loss. Glen will always be remembered fondly by our family.

When I think of Glen, I remember the nights of parents playing marbles or cards, New Years Eve get-togethers, banya pot banging sessions, and the famous origin story of Russel, the tree rustler who became Russel Hungwell on the path at the farm.
