June 15, 1942 ~ December 16, 2022
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Iris, on December 16, 2022, with her family by her side.
Iris was born and raised in Regina. It was there that she met and married her husband Jerry. They celebrated 60 years of marriage earlier this year.
Together they were blessed with four children: Dean (Linda), Grant (Kathy), Marj (Mike), and David (Dione). Iris loved and was very proud of her nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Besides being a mother, she was employed at Canada Post for 16 years. In spite of a serious heart condition from birth, three open heart surgeries over her lifetime, she led a long and healthy life.
Iris had an amazing mind: very quick to analyze and solve problems. Anything she put her mind to she did exceptionally well. To name a few: cooking, baking, gardening, needlework, playing cards, and
household budgeting. She also loved travelling, fishing, shore lunches, and camping. Her scope of interests seemed to be unlimited. Her contribution to her family was priceless!
To honour Iris’s wishes, there will be a private family celebration of her life at a later date.
My deepest sympathy to the Bissett family,so sorry for your loss had great memories with Iris Jerry Marj meghan and Trevor ,Iris will be missed
Grandma was amazing. I will miss her cooking, watching her play with Lucy, her wit. Sleepovers at my grandparents were the highlight of my childhood. I am going to miss talking with her about everything.

Dear family, my heart aches for your loss. Auntie Iris was always so much fun from all the memories I can recall. She was forever young…only 29 years young for years!!😊 I remember her and grandma baking in the kitchen, making cookies and buns!! Her laughter and smile was infectious!! She will be missed. I’m certain my dad and Iris are sharing stories and causing mischief in Heaven. Love you all. Big hugs.
Condolences to Jerry and family.
