With deep sadness, the family of Alan Pearson announces his peaceful passing on November 28,2024 at his home in Martensville. Alan was the son of the late John Wilfred Pearson and Catherine Mae (Reynolds) Pearson. He was predeceased by sister Ada (Bob), grandson Bryden and niece Carol Beth.
Leaving behind with loving memories are Cora, his wife of 58 years, children Jim (Crystal), Darlene (Mayo) and Duane (Shonda). Grandchildren Matthew, Chris (Chloe), Jordan, Shelby, Danae and Cassie. He is survived by his beloved dog Foxy and a large circle of extended family and friends.
Alan was born in Truro, Nova Scotia on June 22, 1945, on his sister’s 10th birthday. He grew up and worked on the family farm until he discovered his passion for cars and all things related to mechanics.
He spent his younger adult years working with his father and eventually running the family service station. He owned and collected various vehicles over the years, test driving them often.
In 1982 Alan, Cora and family moved to Martensville, Saskatchewan where he resided until his passing. During these years he worked at REN ROC which later became WIN ROC until he retired in 2011.
He was a faithful follower of Bill W, boasting sobriety for 44 years.
Alan was known for his quick wit and could find humour in any situation whether it was appropriate or not.
He enjoyed his life and family even during his struggle with COPD
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lung Saskatchewan or the Saskatoon SPCA
As per Alan’s request, cremation has taken place with internment to be held in Nova Scotia at a later date.
A celebration of life will be held at Cherished Memories Funeral Services located at 591 Centennial Drive, Martensville, Saskatchewan on Tuesday December 3 at 1:00 pm.
