Brian Kenneth Colby

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Brian Kenneth Colby in Saskatoon on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at the age of 73.

Brian is survived by his wife Debra whom he married on July 11, 1981.  Stepson, James A.A Holben (Nora), Grandkids Rylee and Jesse.  Stepson, William G Holben (Melissa), Grandkids, Sierra, Reanna and Harley and great grandchildren Alannah and Sophie.  Sister in law Melanie (The Late Frank Colby) and their children Tyler (Valerie) Payne and their children Veronica and Harrison, son Evan Colby, daughter Brynn Colby,  son Chance (Tegan) Payne and their children Caitlyn and Scarlette. Brother-in-law , Bill Struthers (Jeannie) and their children, Danny and daughter Maddie Struthers, Carlie and daughter Charlie Struthers.  Stepsons and Step Daughters and their children. Sister-in-laws Shelley Struthers, Karen Schrader, Vanessa Oliphant (Glen) and their son Nolan, Sandra (Shahein) Pyke and her daughter Fatina and numerous relatives. Brian is predeceased by both of his parents, Charles and Jeannetta Colby, Father and Mother in Law William and Vannetta Struthers, his only brother Frank Colby, Fraternal and Maternal Grandparents and numerous cousins.

Brian was born in Dodsland, Sask on August 12, 1951 to Charles Colby and Jeannetta (Archer) Colby. Farming was Brian's first love which he enjoyed very much. He joined the Legion at Dodsland, Sask. in the 80's and later Brian and Deb both transferred to Coleville Legion in the 90's after moving to Kindersley. Brian coached the Dodsland Ladies Baseball team where he also enjoyed curling, bowling and darts with the Coleville Branch. He was a member of the Elks in Stranraer, Sask. and later transferred to Kindersley Elks where he and Deb both became their cooks and participated in bowling and curling.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Diabetes Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Cherished Memories is honoured to have been entrusted with Brian's care.
