To Wayne’s family
Mike worked with “Skips” as a meter reader for many years, and that is how he got the nickname. When you couldn’t obtain a meter read, you would skip it. Wayne didn’t have many skips, but somehow that name stuck with him. Every job he did, he did with passion and gave 110%.
We had the fortunate opportunity to visit him in Costa Rica and had a wonderful time.
He had contacted Mike when he was in the hospital at the Phillippines and then when he arrived in Saskatoon.
We were very saddened to hear that he had passed away, and wished we would have had the chance to visit him when he came back to Canada.
Our sincere sympathies to you all. We will miss Skips!!

We met Wayne about 30 years ago and were “back-alley” neighbors to him. We shared some meals, kept in touch, and emailed after he moved to Costa Rica. We were concerned when our emails were not answered. We were saddened to hear of your loss just a few days ago. We send our sincerest condolences to his family. Katrina, he was very proud of you!
