Her grandchildren Kali, Mallory, Elexis, Kaelyn, Gavin, Lachlan, and Ava meant the world to her, and she loved to spend time with them. She would spend hours making gifts for each of them. Although she loved all her grandchildren Lachlan was HER baby as she would say.
My auntie was the toughest person I ever knew. Growing up she taught me to be tough. To never let anyone walk all over me, she taught me to fight for whatever I thought was worth fighting for, no matter the outcome. I didn’t have the strongest or greatest relationship with my auntie Connie, but when I needed her she was there. She gave me advice, slapped me when I was being stupid and set me straight. My grandma and my moms siblings had a very strong influence on me growing up, although I don’t think they know it. Although I’m very sad my auntie is gone, it is with even greater sadness I never had the chance to express how much I loved her, or how much I appreciated her. To everyone who was with her in the end my heart goes out to you. She will be forever missed!
