It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Connie McLellan, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, on October 2, 2024, after a short and courageous battle with cancer. Connie leaves behind her devoted husband, Dave McLellan; her children, Michael (Kristi) McLellan, Krystie (Andrew) McLellan, and grandson, Anderson; and Brandon (Christie) McLellan; sister, Jackie (Jerry) Sklar and their son, Jett (Karyna) Sklar; her brother, Trevor (Laurie) Jones and families; her mother-in-law, Sharon McLellan; brothers-in-law, Arnie (Kelly), Terry, and Todd (Barb) McLellan, and families. Connie was predeceased by her parents, Joan and Ed Jones; and her father-in-law, Glen McLellan. Connie was born on October 20, 1958, in Saskatoon. She attended St. Matthew Elementary School and Holy Cross High School, where she formed friendships that would last a lifetime. In 1984, Connie married the love of her life, Dave McLellan. Together, they raised three wonderful children and celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this year. Throughout her life, Connie's strength, compassion, and unwavering dedication to her family and friends were constants, shaping a legacy of love and kindness. Connie had a remarkable career in the field of accounting, working with several real estate, property development, and management companies throughout Saskatoon. For the past 25 years, she served as the Controller for Citylife Investments, where she was respected not only for her professional expertise but also for her integrity, strength, and dedication. Connie's greatest joy was her family. She loved nothing more than gathering everyone together for holidays and occasions, creating celebrations filled with warmth, laughter, and the wonderful meals she lovingly prepared. She made every occasion feel special; creating traditions that will be remembered by all. Recently, she was able to spend two weeks with her first grandchild, Anderson, before her passing, a precious gift that will be forever cherished. Her wisdom and guidance were invaluable, and she was always there to offer sound advice to those who sought it, whether in business or in life. Her warm presence and caring nature will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Connie had a passion for life, which she expressed through her love of travel, especially to her favourite destinations, Las Vegas and Palm Springs. But more than anything, she cherished her family. Her life was one of grace, resilience, and generosity, and her memory will forever be held in our hearts. A celebration of Connie's life will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest (210 Wess Rd.). The family extends their deepest gratitude to Dr. Luo and the staff at RUH and Glengarda for the compassionate care they provided. In lieu of flowers, donations in Connie's memory can be made to the Hospice at Glengarda.
