Edward Joseph Fendelet

Ed, beloved and admired father, grandfather, husband, brother, uncle, and friend passed away at the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, at the age of 72. Ed was born in North Battleford to parents, Stephen and Emma Fendelet. He married Mavis Elaine Zaiachkowski and they lived in Saskatoon to raise their family.  For many years Ed worked in the Meat Packing Industry in various roles ranging from Foreman to Plant Manager.  A designated jack of all trades, just prior to retirement Ed became a technician repairing and installing food processing equipment.

In earlier years Ed enjoyed coaching broomball, going to the lake, fishing, driving the boat and pulling his boys water skiing and most of all watching his boys play hockey, driving them to many games and tournaments throughout their childhood.  In retirement Ed loved to be at his camper at Shell Lake, driving his golf cart, playing golf & getting the odd hole in one, and campfires with family and friends.

Ed is survived by his loving family; his son Calvin (Tricia) and their children: Calista, Ayden, Kade, and Koen; son Quentin (Rhonda) and their children: Reese, Chase, and Tessa; brothers: Clarence (Bernice) & Marcel (Susan), sister Therese (Tony) Humen; sisters-in-law: Ellen Wylie & Eileen (Grant) Beauchemin; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  Ed was predeceased by his wife Mavis, father and mother Stephen and Emma, in-laws Alex and Ann Zaiachkowski; brother-in-law Wayne Wylie; sister-in-law Connie Fendelet.

In respecting Ed’s wishes there will not be a Funeral Service. A memorial gathering to celebrate Ed’s life will be held on June 26 in Lloydminster, AB for family and close friends. Memorial donations in honor of Ed may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, #101, 440-2nd Ave N, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2C3 or the Canadian Mental Health Association, 2702-12th Ave., Regina, SK S4T 1J2.
