Eric Melvin Reid

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eric Reid (68 years). Eric was born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan on February 9, 1955.

He was predeceased by his parents Eric and Margaret, his bothers Thomas and Kenneth, and his brother in law Urban.

Eric is survived by his sister Carolyn, his sons Alex (Mia) and Ivan, his nieces/nephews Cindy (Bill), Wes (Corrine), Marceline and great nieces/nephews Jordin, Dylan, Madison and Nathan.

Eric, is also survived by his brothers and sisters in IBEW Local 529, as a 45 year member.

As many know Eric was a die-hard riders’ fan if the game was on don’t bother trying to get him out of his chair unless it’s for munchies or if the 4th quarter is done. He enjoyed spending time and socializing with friends and family, he was very fond of darts (even had a webcam to play online). He was always taking  care of the lawn every spring where Kali peed all winter and was very proud when it got all nice and green always wanted to show everyone, more hobbies of his including things like Snowmobiling, swimming, golfing, fishing and watching the weekly episodes of big bang theory, Hawaii 5-0, and last man on earth don’t forget the morning news. These were some of his favourite things to do in his spare time Especially the tv shows. As many of you know he was also the most selfless caring helping person to everyone he met. He was a true angel on earth now he is our guardian watching over us. Rest in peace Brother, Father, uncle, and friend. Forever in our hearts Eric.

Eric’s Celebration of Life service will be on Saturday July 22, at 1:00 pm at Cherished Memories Funeral Home at 591 Centennial Drive North, in Martensville with a brief ceremony and an opportunity for others to share stories with Eric’s family, brothers and friends.  Snacks and coffee/drinks will be provided. We welcome all of his friends and family to attend the  celebration of life for Eric and  wear whatever they feel comfortable in and encourage Roughrider gear.
