It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gerald (Jerry) Joseph Rozon, age 69, on November 6, 2024, at St. Paul’s Hospital. Jerry passed away peacefully surrounded by his family.
Jerry was born on December 10, 1954, to Hilare and Golda Rozon in Cornwall, Ontario and grew up in Thorold, Ontario. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Brenda, his children Katie (Zach), Jordon (Jo), Joshua (Brittani), Tori (Adam), Todd, and his grandchildren Jacob, Landon, Joey, Jayce, Taylor, Brooke, Evan, Dane, and Mackenzie.
Jerry had many titles in his life, from being a landscaper, handyman, to being a family man, but his favorite was being a father. He loved nothing more than spending time with his children. He was always there for them in his unique ways of showing love, kindness, and compassion. Jerry was a man with a plan and a dream to help his family in any way that was required. He had a love for ghost hunting shows that he would always talk about with Jordon and Joshua. He was also dedicated to developing further understandings of how things worked and operated. If there was a problem, he was always the first one to offer help to find a solution.
Jerry was the spiritual backbone of the Rozon family that upheld unique points of views that made you think in distinct ways. With his sense of humor, talents, and views on life, Jerry will be greatly missed for a very long time. May his memory be a blessing for those who knew him, especially to those people that have been a part of his life. He had a great ability to make others smile with his dry sense of humor and it will be missed. While Jerry left us far too soon, the impact he had on people who knew him will be felt for years to come.
“Dad, we all know you will help guide us on our journeys in life, and one day we will meet again. Your spiritual insight has always shown us all that nothing is impossible, everything is possible.”
There will be no memorial service held at this time. In lieu of a memorial service, the family has asked those who would like to send condolences, to use the guestbook below to leave a comment or to share any memories you might have, or to light a candle for Jerry.
