February 22, 1946 – September 4, 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gerald Wayne Israel.  After the recent loss of Jean, love of his life, and his battle with many health issues he has gone to be with her.   He will be forever remembered and missed by his children Tracey Ramsay (Kevin), Wendy Wagner (Kevin) and their children Zachery, Mitchell, Tyson, and Haidyn; Denise Wingrove (Mike) and their children Joey and Makenna; Mike (Alisa) Abbott and children Stephanie (Jay), Sammy, Sidney; Gerry Kucher and son Matthew; siblings, extended family and close loved ones and friends.

Gerald was predeceased by his loving wife Jean, parents Eva Perry and Joseph Israel, brother Roy, sister-in-law Evelyn, brothers-in-law Dave, Dale, and Allen; nephew Chris and niece Lindsay.

Gerald was a skilled craftsman and loved dreaming up woodworking projects for his grandchildren and family.  He shared this passion with everyone he met. He was a huge Saskatchewan Roughrider and Toronto Blue Jay fan and would never miss watching a game.  While his children and grandchildren were growing up he loved family gatherings at Lake Diefenbaker to go fishing, golfing and enjoy a barbequed steak.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation on behalf of Gerald to the Heart and Stroke Foundation www.heartandstroke.ca.  We chose this charity in memory of our father.  Any donations will contribute to Gerald’s final act of compassion.
