Jacob Giesbrecht

September 19, 1932 — November 3, 2024

The family of Jake are saddened to announce his passing on November 3, 2024. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 62 years Karen (Stacey), son Garry (Cindy), and his grandchildren Justin (Krystal) and Ashley, and one great granddaughter Aleeyah, as well as five sisters; Ann Peters, Tena (Jake) Friesen, Betty Friesen, Margaret Friesen and Mary (Jake) Adrian, and three brothers; Abe (Mary), John (Cathy) and Frank (Maxine).He was predeceased by his eldest son Robert in 1999, his two brothers Peter and George, and one sister Helen Neudorf.

Jake was born at home in Rhineland to Jacob and Helena (Guenther) Giesbrecht. His family moved to Warman to begin dairy farming in 1944. He spent his youth on the farm.

Jake loved playing hockey, fastball, and curling, where he made many lifelong friends. He enjoyed meeting them for coffee in later years. 

Jake was a highway man, having driven over 7 million miles during his 66-year career, and now his journey continues.

Cherished Memories in Martensville is honored to be entrusted with Jacob’s care. As per Jake’s wishes, he will be cremated, and no funeral service will be held.
