Our hearts are filled with sadness as we announce the sudden passing of Jason Gudmundson (age 56) on March 11, 2024.
He grew up in the City Park neighbourhood in Saskatoon attending local schools and then SIAST. He was a talented, creative artist evident early in his life. Skilled at sketching and 3 dimensional design, he grew this gift into an accomplished career in sheet metal leaving numerous remarkable commercial projects over 3 prairie provinces.
He also had a musical talent with the bass fiddle and guitar that remained far too hidden. Jason was blessed with a heart of compassion and generous spirit. He was always ready to engage with you and laugh, listen and cry with you. More of a listener than talker, he was humble and sensitive to the plight in your life and dismissed his own struggles.
He was well liked by friends and acquaintances because he possessed an abundance of humility easily demonstrated in the simplest of conversations. Consistently considerate and respectful of your feelings he was an apologetic individual, unassuming and down to earth. Yes, behind the biker persona and tough leather jacket was a tender teddy bear.
Jason was grateful and never hesitated to express it to you directly. He shared a closeness with his sweet mother and Darren, missing them each a great deal on their passing. He enjoyed family times and good friends and had the ability to inject humour into his daily life encounters and tales of the day. We will miss so much about him and plan to celebrate his life and that of Darren Gudmundson who passed away Feb 12, 2024.
