August 21, 1961 — January 3, 2025

Saskatoon

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Dad and brother Kelly, with family by his side, on January 3, 2025 at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Kelly was born August 21, 1961 in Saskatoon to proud parents Doug and Florence and siblings Kim and Kathy.

Though the past few years he was unemployed due to his diagnosis, Kelly was a very hard worker and took pride in the jobs he had. He always enjoyed cooking, baking and BBQ-ing even in the dead of winter and of course his Toronto Maple Leafs.

Dad fought a very tough but short battle with an aggressive cancer. Despite the unknown, he did it with positivity and an amazing amount of strength and determination. It was not an easy ride but he fought strong right until the end.

Kelly will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Robyn (Ian), Sam (Shane), Paige (Huston), Kiera and son Brett; his brother Kim (Linda) and family; his sister Kathy (Bruce) and family; his grandchildren Anson, Ryden, Savannah, Hunter, Zaylie, Hendrix and Hadley; his friend Linda; as well as many other friends he had kept in touch with over the years.

Kelly was predeceased by his grandparents and parents.

Our family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Saskatoon Cancer Centre for all their support and care and to the staff at St Paul’s Hospital for the care they provided during the last couple months of Dad's journey.

In lieu of flowers, we ask you please donate to your local minor hockey association.

There will be a private burial and family gathering at a later date.
