Leon Gerald Montgrand

With great sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Leon Montgrand Jr. He was born in Ile-a-la-crosse, Sask to Leon and Glenda Montgrand. He is the second oldest of 7 children. Leon was a protector and provider for all his family, if you dropped in to see him you were guaranteed to get asked if you were hungry or thirsty. He was a father figure to all his nieces and nephews. He always made sure the kids were fed before their parents or you would hear about it. His favourite saying was “you need anything” “you good’ or “Need me to beat anyone up?" Everyone will surely miss his daily phone calls.

Leon is survived by his mother: Glenda, Special friend: Tanya Daniels (Bubbles) His children: Laura-lee, Megan, Hannah, Jeremiah, Cassie, Joshua, Lilah. His grandchildren: Aalayna, Veada, Alaric, Nebraska, Kira, Oaklynn. His siblings: Patsy, Leona (Carlton), Madeline, Karen (Neil), Angela (Jason), Ross, Jean (Patrick). Uncles: Alfred (Frances), Johnny. Shawn. Aunties: Eileen (Calvin), Brenda, Peggy, Patti. He is predeceased by his Father: Leon (Sr) paternal grandparents: Magloire & Mary Jane Montgrand, Zackary Gardiner. Maternal Grandparents: Bernard and Doris Pinay. Uncles: Gerald Norton, Penny Norton, Jack Mcallister, Alvin (Taz)Norton, Aunties: Arlene Montgrand, Judy Pinay, Heather Daigneault, Leona Peigan. Joan Montgrand. Cousins: David McAllister, Curtis Montgrand, Ethan Montgrand. Nephew: Nealon Montgrand.

Wake Service will be held at Buffalo Friendship Centre Sunday January 19th. Funeral service will be at St. Leo the Great Parish Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 11am by Father Ramu Polimetla.

There will be a viewing on Sunday, January 19th from 9am-11am at Cherished Memorial Funeral Home, 591 Centennial Drive North, Martensville before they make their journey north.
