Margaret was born in Rabbit Lake Saskatchewan to Sam and Mary Needrum. She was raised in the Maple Creek/Burstall area with her sister Betty and brother Doug. Margaret helped her Mum with housework and the store that her parents ran.
Margaret completed her grade 12 and went on to get her certificate at Teachers College. She met her future husband when Eugene accepted a teaching position in Burstall. They were married in Empress Alberta in April 1957.
Margaret taught school for a few years and then decided to be a stay at home Mum and homemaker. She enjoyed baking and was a excellent cook. When we would come home from school there would be cake, cookies, fresh buns, cinnamon buns or homemade bread to sample. She enjoyed family and friends, the coffee pot was always on. Her interests Included music, dancing, crossword puzzles and reading. A high point in her life was when she was blessed with two grandsons, Joel and Cody who meant the world to her.
Margaret Is survived by her husband Eugene, children Brian (Kathy) Joel and Cody, Audrey, Grant (Donna); her brother Doug (Jane). Sisters-in-law Marlene, Evelyn and Eileen. Brothers-in-law Roy, Greg and Rodney, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased family members are; Sam and Mary Needrum, Fred and Elizabeth Flasch, her sister Betty Dunn and husband Gerald. Brothers-in-law Raymond (Flasch), Dave (Flasch), Norbert Vaessen and Alan Lewendon. Sisters-in-law Doreen Lewendon (Flasch), and Joyce Vaessen (Flasch).
A private family Celebration of Life may take place at a later date.
