Margaret (Maggie) Norma Imrie

Margaret (Maggie) Norma Imrie passed away on Saturday, October 19th, 2019, at the age of 69 years old, after a brief illness.

Maggie was born to Aletha and Robert Davis on July 2, 1950, in Riverhurst, SK.  Maggie spent her early life on the farm with her siblings Deanna, Crystal, and Monty. The family moved to Riverhurst when Maggie was small and eventually settled in Moose Jaw, SK.

Maggie married the love of her life William (Paul) Imrie on December 21, 1979.  Together they raised Maggie’s only child Audra Dawn.  Paul and Maggie settled in Saskatoon where she continued her passion in the optical business.  Maggie spent 20 years on the road as a sales representative until she  retired.

Maggie was an avid gardener and would start her plants from seed in her green house and would have an abundance of veggies and flowers that she loved to share.   Maggie was famous for her home grown tomatoes.   Maggie loved to read and would often sit in the sun with her book.  Maggie was a fan of the Saskatoon Rush, the Roughriders, and auto racing.  She shared these passions with Paul.   Maggie and Paul built their dream home and she would often say her home was her castle. They recently downsized to a beautiful new condo to enjoy retirement.

Maggie and Paul loved to take trips on the motorbike they referred to as Fat Molly.  They had many trips throughout Canada and the United States.   Paul, Audra, and AJ recently had the pleasure of a taking a trip to the mountains before Maggie’s passing.  It was a trip they would cherish forever.

Maggie’s pride and joy was her grandson AJ.  They spend many hours together gardening, baking, and just having fun.

Maggie is survived by her husband Paul, daughter Audra, son in law Darren and grandson AJ.  Maggie is also survived by her mother Aletha, sisters Deanna (Trevor) and Crystal (Garry) and brother Monty.  She was also survived by her many nephews and nieces as well as great nephews and nieces and cousins and aunt Opal.

Maggie was predeceased by her father Robert (Bob) , her father in law Lorne, and her brother in law Barry and other relatives.

Maggie was kind and generous person who was always there when you needed her and always willing to help.  In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundations at 1-345 Third Avenue South, Saskatoon SK. S7K 1M6M
