Marjory “Jean” Israel (Nee Hay)

September 20, 1946 – May 6, 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Marjory Israel after a stoic, 18-year battle with an inoperable cerebral AV Malformation.  She will be terribly missed and is survived by her husband of 50 years, Gerald Israel, daughters Tracey Ramsay (Kevin), Wendy Wagner (Kevin) and their children Zachery, Mitchell, Tyson, and Haidyn; Denise Wingrove (Mike) and their children Joey and Makenna; siblings Lois, Beth (Tom), Bill (Donna), Linda (Gary), extended family Mike (Alisa) Abbott and children Stephanie (Jay), Sammy, Sidney; Gerry Kucher and son Matthew and close loved ones, colleagues and friends. Jean was predeceased by her parents James and Marguerite Hay, sister Evelyn, brothers-in-law Dave and Dale; nephew Chris and niece Lindsay.  Jean loved her family, sharing a laugh, spending time with her grandchildren, ensuring everything was in its rightful place, attending to her garden and flower beds and would prefer to clean anything rather than watch The Big Bang Theory.  The family would like to extend their gratitude to the first responders in Allan; the emergency room nurses, doctors, support staff and the team on 6300 at the Royal University Hospital.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation on behalf of Jean to the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Society of Canada www.als.ca.  She chose this charity in memory of her father, who succumbed to ALS.  Any donations will contribute to Jean’s final act of compassion.  Jean’s wishes were to have a celebration of life, which will be held at a later date.
