Mary Bolton

June 10, 1938 – September 9, 2022

After a long battle with myelodysplastic syndrome Jim’s beloved wife, our mom and our grandmother, Mary received her wings and went to walk with the Angels.  Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband Jim of 65 years, her daughter Tammy (Greg), son Jeff (Lisa) and grandchildren Tia (Sean), Madison (Eric), Grace and Jack.  Mary was born in Tisdale and was an only child to Martin and Mildred.  She met her best friend, and soulmate Jim shortly out of high school and they were wed within a few months.  The joke in our family was that they waited 6 years to have their first child, then waited another 6 years to have their second, definitely not the norm for that era.  Mary worked for SaskTel prior to finding a passion for the heating and air conditioning industry where she spent the majority of her working career.  Mary’s love for her family was unparalleled, she was our constant!  She was an involved grandparent and was always encouraging her grandkids to reach for the stars and to do their very best whatever their passion may be. Mary was a talented baker and often expressed her affection for others by giving them treats made with love.  Mary was a quilter, loved music; singing and playing the organ, curling; and she loved spending time camping and fishing; a multi faceted woman to be sure.  She loved her family with her whole heart and it showed!  The hole in our family that is left is immense; however, she taught us to be tough, to never give up, smile through the pain and no matter what Love with your whole heart.  We will miss you mom.

A private family interment will take place on Friday Sept 16, 2022.

Cherished Memories Funeral Services is honoured to be entrusted with Mary’s care.
