Myrtle Evelyn Anderson

The family of Myrtle Anderson is saddened to announce her passing on December 7, 2023 in Saskatoon, SK at the age of 94 years.

Myrtle was an active member of McClure United Church is Saskatoon.  She began her teaching career at the age of 18 and taught in Southern Saskatchewan/Regina & Saskatoon. She was the first Kindergarten teacher in Saskatoon at Haultain School (1968). She loved her students and they loved her. (every Friday was treat day). She had saved 2 years of sick days and was able to retire after 45 years of teaching at the age of  63.

Myrtle had many friends and acquaintances. She enjoyed bingos, horse races, VLTs and casinos.  Her lucky number was 777 (she passed away on December 7).

Myrtle had a love for animals (especially dogs), and truly loved her 12 years with her dog Alice.

She is survived by her sons Neil Anderson & Doug Anderson, sister in laws Doris Mitchell & Rose Anderson, and many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her husband Bill Anderson, parents George & Evelyn Mitchell, sister Beryl Wightman, and brothers Stewart Mitchell & Gerry Mitchell.

At Myrtle's request there will be no funeral.  

Mom, you will always be in our thoughts and prayers, til we meet again.
