Noella Marie Petersen

Smile: It doesn’t cost you a thing but it enriches the lives of others!!

Noella was born December 24, 1954 in Val Marie, Saskatchewan to Rosiareo and Rose Bergeron, and passed away September 1, 2019 in Saskatoon, SK. She married the love of her life, Sydney Petersen in 1984 and they shared 34 wonderful years together.

Noella was a very friendly woman who absolutely loved life. She took great pleasure in socializing and could often be found striking up a conversation with a “new friend” as she went about her day. Those around her would often be the recipient of a warm hug in her happiness to see them.

Noella also had a great love for animals, especially cats. She had a few special ones in her life over the years but she really loved any furry friend she happened across and could never pass up an opportunity to get in pet snuggles. To those who knew her it was no surprise to see her sporting a cat shirt as part of her attire.

Noella had many hobbies that brought her satisfaction but she especially loved cooking and baking. She had several opportunities to share her love of cooking with others by spending some time working in restaurants and her vibrant personality coupled with her cooking skills found many customers returning regularly. Each year during the Christmas season she would pour love into her baked goodies and then relish passing them out to those around her.

Noella had a very satisfying work life and was employed in several different capacities throughout her lifetime but she spent the last 30 years working for CNH in Saskatoon.

One of the biggest passions in Noella’s life began when she started riding motorcycles. She started as a bike partner to her husband Syd but secretly always wanted to ride on her own bike. She was so excited when she got her own bike and she loved each opportunity she had to take to the road for another adventure. She shared most of her travels with her husband and road partner Syd and they put on thousands of kilometers each year. True to biker form,  Sturgis was the one place that made the list of places to ride to every year.

Memorial Service was held Saturday, September 14, 2019 at the Cherished Memories Chapel in Martensville, SK.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Noella’s honor to the SPCA.
