Pat Parnell, Librarian Emerita, University of Saskatchewan, was born at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon on March 23, 1944 and died in St. Paul’s Hospital on October 12, 2018 after more than five years of hemodialysis.
Pat is survived by four sisters and one brother: Linda MacKinnon (Dave Kilbank) in BC; Evelyn Vermette (Arnie) in Alberta; Karen Davidson (Garry) in Alberta; Dayna Rauser (Matt Gadke) in Australia; Leonard Rauser (Dorothy) in Alberta. There are nieces and nephews and many cousins. Her family dearly loved her and greatly admired her kindness, generosity, courage, intelligence, and independence. They enjoyed her sense of humour and delightful laugh. Pat adored cats and was a loving caregiver of many during her life.
There will a family gathering in Alberta at a later date to celebrate Pat’s life and achievements.
