It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Phyllis Romona Crookedneck, who peacefully left this world on August 9, 2024, at the age of 40. Phyllis was born on November 22, 1983, in Meadow Lake, Sk.

Phyllis's life was a testament to love and family. She found her soulmate in Delbert Matheson, with whom she shared a deep bond and the blessings of three cherished children: Daniel, Kendell, and Kendra. The loss of her beloved son, Daniel, last year was a sorrow that weighed heavily on her heart, a wound that never fully healed.

Phyllis leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. She is survived by her loving husband, Delbert, her son Kendell, her daughter Kendra, her parents Shirley Pahtayken and William Kahpeechoose, her brothers Robert (Nicole), Corey E Crookedneck, Kennedy (Vanessa), her sisters Donna, Gwen, Marlene, her grandmother Julia Crookedneck, her mother-in-law Lorraine Matheson, her father-in-law Wallace Duquette, her sisters-in-law Jessica, and Desirae, her brother-in-law Dion McLeod, her kookum and mushom William and Veronica Duquette, her godchild Becky Rose, and a host of aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Phyllis was reunited in the afterlife with her son Daniel, her brother Elton Crookedneck, her Grandpa Pierre Crookedneck, her Uncle Mervin "Moopon", her sister-in-law Marie Matheson, her uncle-in-law Roy Matheson, her nieces Takeisha Matheson, and Mayleen Dillon, her cousin Josh Crookedneck, and many other beloved family members and friends who have gone before her.

Phyllis Romona Crookedneck will be fondly remembered for her love, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. May her kind and gentle soul find eternal peace and may her memory continue to inspire love and compassion in all who knew her.

The Wake Service will be held at Mudie Lake Hall, Ministikwan Lake, SK Thursday to Friday, and the  Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 16, 2024 at 2:00pm at the Mudie Lake Hall Ministikwan Lake, SK.
