Michael Bruce Pratt

August 15th, 1953 – May 16th, 2023.

Following a lengthy battle with illness and with eyes facing upward and forward, Michael Bruce Pratt, made the final journey to his forever home on May 16th, 2023 with family by his side.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Bobby; his daughter Kelsie and her husband Barry; his Belgian daughter, Katarina; his grandson Ben; his sisters Pat and her husband Marvin and Elsie and her husband Jim; his brothers Keith and his wife Irene, Carl and his wife Lorette, Don, and Syd and his wife Marlene; as well as many numerous nieces, nephews and friends including his Schuett family.

“Mike” was born in Vanderhoof, British Columbia and by all accounts was a pretty unforgettable character from the start. Full of life and always curious, he was a daydreamer and seeker of adventure. Anyone who knew him, knew that one of his favourite activities was to “stir the pot” and then enjoy the reactions that would follow.

Spending 4 months in Mexico with his wife Bobby back in 2019 was a highlight in his latter years. It was one of the last times where he felt healthy enough to enjoy beautiful weather as they spent much of their time walking and visiting together.

In his last months he was able to spend a September weekend with his immediate family to say goodbye.  Seeing every one of his siblings come together in one place to share such love and joy with him was a gift beyond measure that he carried for the rest of his days and beyond.

There will be no funeral service as Mike was able to personally say goodbye to his family when he knew he would be making this journey home. Thank you to the Palliative Care Unit at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon for their tender care in his last days.

We hope now, in the clarity of eternity, that he is able to fully recognize how loveable and loved he is.
