Robert “Bob” Schreiner, born on April 28, 1944, in Humboldt, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2024, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Bob is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elaine (nee Hohmann), who was his steadfast partner in life. Together they raised two sons, Jason (Tammy) and Kurt(Deneen). Bob was a proud and loving grandfather to Jason’s daughters, Cassandra and Samantha, and Kurt and Deneen’s sons, Grayson and Owen. He was predeceased by his parents Alois and Irene, and his brother Alan. Bob was also preceded in death by his parents-in-law, Bill and Marcella Hohmann, his sister and brother-in-law Donna and Harvey Pelletier and brother-in-laws Ken Manderschied and Dick Gilfillan. Bobs legacy lives on through his surviving family: his sister Linda (Jim) Rossman, and his sister-in-laws, Janet Manderschied, Marlene Gilfillan, Sharon Hohmann, and brother and sister-in-law Doug and Sharon Hohmann. Bob had a deep passion for vehicles, always enhancing his own with beautiful accessories. In addition to his hobby of building model cars and restoring old vehicles, his professional life revolved around the automotive world as well - he worked for car dealerships and caterpillar as parts manager all his working life. Bob worked for dealerships in Humboldt, Nipawin, North Battleford, Medicine Hat, Lloydminster and Saskatoon. After he retired he worked for his son Kurt, at End Of The Roll flooring stores both in Lloydminster and Saskatoon. Throughout his life Bob was known for his kind spirit, dedication to his family, and the joy he found in the simple pleasures of life. He had a talent for making those around him feel valued and loved, and his warm smile and gentle nature will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Bobs life was a testament to the power of love, family and friends. As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the beautiful memories he leaves behind. He will forever be in our hearts, and his spirit will live through the love and laughter of his family. A private service will be held to honour Bobs memory.
