Robert "Bob" Shorter

October 24, 1957 — November 9, 2023

Saskatoon

It's with great sadness we announced the passing of Robert Shorter (Bob), on November 9, 2023 after a short but courageous battle with cancer with his family by his side.

Robert Lee Shorter was born on Oct 24, 1957 in the Kinistino Union Hospital and went to school there until grade 7, then moved to Meskanaw, where he finished school met some of his best lifelong friends. At age 17, after he graduated, he then moved to Davidson, SK where he started working at Cons Concrete and lived with his sister Lana.

Bob then met mom, Cindy Amrud and together they fell in love and started their relationship. They moved to Saskatoon where Bob and one of his other best friends Les started their own Concrete business together and mom went to school only later to become pregnant. He went on to raise both his children in Saskatoon until this day.

Bob is predeceased by his mom and dad Lionel and Lorraine Shorter of Meskanaw.

He also leaves to mourn his loving wife of 42 years, who is also battling cancer in hospital, Cindy Shorter, his daughter Lynnelle (Ryan) Butler, grandson Raimi Butler, son Kyle Shorter, sister Lana (Terry) Johnson, many nieces and nephews and countless friends who are family.

Bob was a hard worker and a pioneer of his craft.

He was always up to help someone out, have a good laugh and a cold one.

He will be missed greatly by many and will leave a void in the hearts of the people who loved him.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life is being held on Saturday November 25th at 3:30 pm at the Army and Navy on 1st Ave. Saskatoon SK. Luncheon provided.
