Ronald Kenneth Begalke

December 8, 1950 — March 13, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald Kenneth Begalke, born on December 8, 1950, and peacefully departed on March 13, 2024, at the RUH hospital. Known affectionately as Ron, he was a beloved husband to Seena for 45 years and a devoted father to his two sons, Michael (Brianna) and Dwayne. Additionally, he cherished his two step-grandchildren, Bowen and Quinn.

Ronald's journey began in Gladstone, MB, where he was welcomed into the world by his loving parents, Pete and Anna Begalke. As the oldest child with four siblings (1 sister and 3 brothers), he grew up on a farm near Amaranth MB. Ron pursued his passion for aviation by attending college in Winnipeg to become a Flight Service Specialist. This led to a fulfilling career with Transport Canada and Nav Canada, taking him to various locations throughout Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and the North West Territories.

His life took a beautiful turn when fate brought him to North Battleford, where he met and married the love of his life Seena Schneider. Together they built a life in Martensville and raised their family with love and dedication. From supporting their children's activities to sharing his love for fishing, gardening, woodworking, and model trains; Ron poured his heart into every moment spent with his family.

Ron was renowned for his kindness, generosity, infectious smile for all he met, and his knack for sharing a good joke. He will be deeply missed by not only Seena, Michael (Brianna), Dwayne, Bowen & Quinn but also by his brothers Edward (Maria), Lyle (Sherri), sister Carol (Garry), mother-in-law Darleen Schneider; sisters-in-law Deena (Tony), Cindy (Mark), brother-in-law Curtis (Chantelle), and numerous nieces and nephews.

In remembrance of Ronald's vibrant life and warm spirit, a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 18th, 2024, at 2:00pm, at Cherished Memories Funeral Chapel, 591 Centennial Dr. N, Martensville, SK.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at RUH 6th floor and the ICU for their compassionate care during Ron's time of need. Special thanks also go out to the staff at Cherished Memories for their invaluable support during this difficult period. Ron's legacy of love will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
