Stanley Rempel

June 12, 1947 — December 30, 2023

Stanley James Rempel (Stan), 76, passed away quietly at home in the evening of December 30th, 2023.

Stan was the firstborn in a family of five. His loving parents Frank and Helen Rempel welcomed him into the world on June 12th, 1947. Born in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Stan began a relationship with God at a very young age which shaped his character throughout his life. He attended school until the 8th grade when he left to begin working at the family business. There, he found his love for welding, which he later used to earn his welding certificate. Stan married the love of his life Zelda Langager on October 12th, 1968, and they eventually settled in Saskatoon, where Stan continued welding. While Stan had many different jobs, his work did not define him. He was a passionate caregiver, and most of all he was devoted to Zelda and their life together.

Stan was predeceased by his mother Helen, and his younger sister Jane Sonntag. Stan is survived by his loving wife Zelda, his father Frank, his brother Stuart (Joellen), his sister Connie (Lorne), and his sister Leann (Duaine).

Stan had a wholehearted love for the Lord and believed in the power of prayer. He always quoted scripture, encouraged those around him, and told us how he prayed for each one of his family members every day. He also prayed for everyone else in the world, except for the bad ones because he, “figured the Lord’ll take care of ‘em”.

Although we miss him dearly, we know Stan was excited for the day he would meet Jesus. Stan leaves behind a legacy of love and faith that those who knew him will never forget.
