Taylor Lee Gunnar Marlowe

June 4, 1989 — January 9, 2025

It is with great sadness that the family of Taylor Lee Gunnar Marlowe announce his sudden passing in a tragic motor vehicle collision on January 9, 2025 at the age of 35 years. Taylor is survived by his father Brian Marlowe (Susan) of Vermilion, AB, sister Samantha Marlowe (Andrew) of Biggar, SK, sister Catherine Phelan (Shawn) from Fort St. John, BC, brother Steven Peters of Winnipeg, Manitoba and brother Christopher Bindle from Regina, SK. He is also survived by his niece Mia Phelan, nephews Tyson, Everett, Cash, Axle, Silas and nephew Brandon Peters. Taylor is also survived by his grandmother Patricia Hodges of Macrorie, SK. Along with numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. Taylor was pre-deceased by his mother Heather Marlowe, grand-parents Keith and Edith Marlowe, grandfather Ivan Hodges.Taylor was born in Rosetown, Saskatchewan on June 4, 1989. He was a very intelligent boy who enjoyed the challenges of computer programming and science at a very young age. Taylor was always learning and after graduating high school in Rosetown, SK Taylor went on to attend the University of Saskatchewan where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then continued his schooling at Lakeland College taking Renewable Energy and Conservation, then with Environment Canada receiving a certificate in Canadian Aquatic Biomonitoring Network Field Technician and at Thompson Rivers University. Taylor’s academic interests were primarily in plant biology, environmental reclamation, carbon sequestration technologies and alternative energy. Taylor had many hobbies and loved gardening and animals. He was always exploring new ideas and took on paper making, soap making and DIY projects using upcycled materials. He also enjoyed building unique items from wood made from reclaimed pallets and finished them using recycled paints and stains. He was always growing vegetables and flowers on his apartment balcony where there too he experimented with various fertilizers. He loved his two cats Spenser and Cooper as his entire life was surrounded by dogs and cats in his home in Rosetown. Taylor took his education and applied it to working in industrial paint with Sherwin Williams in Saskatoon. He was exceptional at knowing the products and customer services which lead to Taylor achieving the top sales in Canada selling $3.5 million dollars in product – his top selling day was $320,000.00 which he was very proud of. Taylor and his best friend Kylie did a lot of travelling and enjoyed many trips together to places such as San Francisco, Vegas and Mexico. This was a time in his life and a friendship that Taylor treasured. Taylor had several close friends and in looking back at his Facebook photos it was with these friends that the true Taylor could be seen. The laughter and smiles on his face as he went on holidays or when he was just out fooling around with friends these were just simply the best of times for him.The shut down and isolation of Covid was very difficult for Taylor and then the death of his mother Heather was such a huge sorrow for him. Taylor left his job and moved first to Vermilion, AB and then back to live with his sister Samantha in Biggar, SK. Taylor had many plans for the future including getting back to work and saving up money to return to traveling with Kylie. It is such a tragedy that such a brilliant man with so much potential has died so young and far too soon.

A memorial will be planned for a later date.Taylor cared about many things but closest to his heart was the following areas where, if you wish, you may donate to his memory: SCAT Street Cat Rescue Program 108-2750 Faithful Avenue Saskatoon SK S7K 6M6
