Trevor Gordon Kraft

December 9, 1982 — October 9, 2024

“You live an honest life, you work hard and appreciate the simple things. Then you are free”

A very proud father to Emil, Madison, and Alivia. Trevor leaves behind a legacy of respect, passion, hard work, honesty, and of course his sense of humor and contagious laugh. He took pride in everything he did from being a father, to his career, home renovations to working on his motorcycle and the mustang in his spare time. He was always sharing pictures and videos of his completed projects, silly moments with his family, or just of himself being that genuine, one-of-a-kind entertainer that we all enjoyed. That man had stories that would captivate and astonish anyone. No filter. No worries. Just Trev living life to the fullest and leaving no stone unturned. His ability to make you laugh was one of his best qualities. He was an absolute pleasure to be around and anyone who met him felt a sense of comfort in his presence.

Trevor was born to Gordon Kraft and the late Annamarie Kraft on December 9, 1982. He leaves behind his father Gordon, older sister Deanna, and youngest sister Shannon. As a kid, he was always a curious and happy boy. Loved building model cars, was taught to weld and do body work at a very young age and took to learning and understanding mechanics. He always loved food (his baby pictures can attest to that!) He taught himself to be an exceptional cook and always challenged himself with new recipes and skills in the kitchen. His talent doesn’t end there, he loved to play guitar and if you were lucky enough to be witness to his guitar skills, truth be told he would bring out the harmonica, sometimes the ukulele would follow. Trevor's love for music was undeniable, he shared a lot of memories with others through music, or song. As he grew up, he really began to shine as the kind and humble soul he truly was. He truly lived for the moment and enjoyed life. Adventurous and wild. Curious and intelligent. Stubborn (or opinionated) and a man of his word.

He was talented in so many ways, but one of his roles he was most recognized for was a Concrete Foreman. As a boss with over 20 years of concrete experience, he was clearly a natural born leader. He took pride in the quality of his work every day, and no matter what the job, it was never below him to work right beside his crew or get his hands dirty. He was a team player, and he treated his crew with the upmost respect. That kind of humble leadership is unmatched. He completed everything with the “Kraft standard”, no cutting corners or slacking. His work was a direct reflection of his dedication, and attention to quality but not forgetting to keep his crew happy, appreciated, and keep the morale high. He did all this by setting the best example of himself. You can really see the heart Trevor had in all he did and how he treated those around him. He had patience, compassion, and he strived to build people up and saw the best in everyone. That’s a hard quality to find and it came so naturally to Trevor.

Trevor had a unique way of lighting up the room. And this may be said about other people but if you knew Kraft, you knew he was more than just the light in the room. He was a person you admire, go to for advice and grounding, someone who was willing to help and encourage without bias or judgement. He was the life of the party, and it doesn’t matter who you are, you gravitated towards him. He was the difference he wanted to see in the world. His kindness, love, dedication, intelligence, and his drive will continue to be acknowledged and forever valued. He was an amazing soul who has left such a profound effect on those around him. His loyalty, strength, and ambition will live on through those who knew him. He will forever be loved, appreciated, respected, and missed.

“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; love leaves a memory no one can steal.”

His Celebration of Life will be held at the Sutherland Memorial Hall, Sunday November 17, 2024, at 1 P.M. We encourage those who wish to join and share their stories with Trevor’s family and friends.
