Wayne was born into a farming family in the Arelee area and grew up in typical rural Prairie fashion, surrounded by farm animals and open space. He continued to operate his own farm until the turn of the century while balancing a career in petroleum storage construction and demolition.
An avid outdoorsman and consummate sportsman, Wayne enjoyed family camping and was happiest frying fresh-caught fish over his campfire or hunting with Bradley to get the big buck. He filled his home with paintings of cabins on secluded forest lakes, Western movies and novels, and sportsman magazines.
Wayne will be remembered for his sardonic wit, his loyalty to his friends, and his ability to fix nearly anything, although the result may look…functional.
He was predeceased by parents John and Julia Bonderoff and is survived by his wife Elaine, daughters Jennifer (Alex) and Sara (Jerin), son Bradley, grandsons Vincent and Logan, sister, and numerous brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, and their families.
