Wayne Raymond Porrelli

January 13, 1939 — July 16, 2024

Wayne was promoted to his Heavenly Home July 16th, 2024, after a short illness.

Wayne was born in Saskatoon to Raymond and Edna Porrelli. Sadly, he never knew his father, as Ray passed away at the Sanitorium three months one day after Wayne’s birth. Later Edna married a family friend-Bill Penson. Wayne attended King George and Bedford Road schools. Later, he worked for Mutual of Omaha and became manager.

In 1974, Wayne joined the City of Saskatoon Transit Services where he was an operator and Relief Inspector. He retired in 2000. Wayne was well loved, and will be deeply missed by many.

He was predeceased by his father Raymond, mother Edna, stepfather Bill, brothers -in-law, Eugene Cooper and Neall Regan, Ada’s parents, Herbert and Isabell Shauf, brothers-in-law, Etienne Bracke and James Andrews, niece Ronaye Tyler and his grandson Brennan Bos.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife Ada Porrelli (Shauf), Karen (Steven) Bos, Gavin (Jordan), Kirsten; Robert (Sheri), Nicholas, Tate, Aviana; James (Angela), Kaitlin, Justin; Donna Porrelli (Stephen Bebber), Baron, Grace; sisters Darlyne “Penny” Cooper, Jollean Calvert; Sisters-in-law Arla Bracke, Ruth Andrews; brother-in-law Glen (Brenda) Shauf, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A BIG THANK YOU to everyone at Samaritan Place for allowing us to spend our last nine months together in a companion suite. We appreciated everyone so much and just loved it. It’s truly Saskatoon and Saskatchewan‘s best kept secret,

A Family Celebration of Life will take place in the future. Thank you to Cherished Memories of Martensville for your professional and caring staff.
