Willis Jules Janvier

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Willis Jules "Kano" Janvier, who is lovingly remembered by his family and friends.

Willis is survived by his devoted mother, Elaine Janvier and his father, Walter Laprise. He leaves behind his cherished children, Sharlette and Spencer Janvier, along with his brothers Alden and Mason Janvier. He shared a special bond with his friend, Samantha Herman.

He is also survived by his beloved nieces, Jessa, Sara, Summer, and Isabella, and nephews Ayjay, Ayden, Mason Jr., and Abriel. His grandparents, Wilfred and Marceline Janvier, Jean Marie and Dora Herman, and his godparents, Shannon Janvier and Neil Herman, hold him in their hearts.

He is remembered fondly by his special aunt and uncle, Glen and Glenda Laprise, along with many aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins who will miss him dearly. His best friend, Darcy (Bull Lemaigre), also grieves the loss of their enduring friendship.

He was predeceased by his grandfather, Rodrick Fontaine, as well as his great grandparents Danial and Margeret Janvier, Adelaide and Elzear Laprise, and Jules and Sarah Fontaine. He is reunited with his friend, Blair Lemaigre, great uncle Johnny Janvier, cousin Carlin Janvier, and uncle Bradley Fontaine in eternal peace.

A wake service will be held from September 24 to September 27, 2024, at 211 Central Ave, Clearwater River Dene Nation. The funeral service will take place on Friday, September 27, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Church of Our Lady of the Visitation in La Loche, SK. Interment will follow at La Loche Cemetery.

Kano's spirit will live on in the memories of all who knew and loved him.
