Winona Katherine Leite (Nonie)

Winona Katherine Leite (nee Taylor)      September 25, 1930 – April 30, 2022

On Saturday, April 30^th, at the age of 91, Winona passed away at Oliver Lodge. Nonie was born September 25, 1930 in Saskatoon where she lived her entire life. Nonie will be remembered as a loving, gracious and caring mother, grandmother, and friend. Nonie was devoted to her faith in Jehovah and her service within the community provided many of her cherished friendships.
Nonie is predeceased by her husband Harold Leite in 2020 and his son Rick in 2008 and her brother Wilf Taylor in 2021. She will be lovingly remembered by her family, her five children, daughter Nancy Murdoch and family Dax (Jo) Murdoch and children Luke, Kabri & Dash; daughter Penny (Bob) Loraas; son Darcy Murdoch; son Darren Murdock and child Alex; and son Devon (Johana) Leite and children Abby & Ellie; her daughter-in-laws Kathy Leite and Niki Murdock, her granddaughter Celeste (Kirby) Atchison and children Dallas & Harlan; grandson Joel (Ja-elle) Leite, granddaughter Nalini McDermitt Downie and sister-in-law Audrey Taylor as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins who loved her very much.
Nonie was always up for a visit, she was a great listener and friend. She continued to learn new things throughout her life, learning Chinese in her 70s. She had many passions in her lifetime, she loved animals and flowers. She enjoyed camping and old movies. She was so very proud of all her loved ones’ accomplishments. Nonie lived her life with resilience, courage and grace, she has provided a great example to her younger generation and her kind spirit will be carried forward. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Nonie made everyone she met feel like they were a special person.  The funeral will take place Saturday May 14^th at 2:00pm on Zoom.
